A massive cyberattack on Drift Protocol, a decentralized futures platform on the Solana ecosystem, resulted in the theft of approximately $286 million in cryptocurrency. Blockchain analytics company Elliptic linked the attack to individuals with ties to North Korea, making it the 18th such attack in 2026, with a total of over $300 million stolen. The attack targeted JLP Delta Neutral, SOL Super Staking, and BTC Super Staking vaults, and the Drift team is working with security firms to address the issue.
