STLA--

Dodge revived the V6 Durango due to a shortage of V8 engines, which make up nearly 90% of the brand's sales volume. The SUV's popularity has created a new problem for Stellantis, which can't build V8s fast enough. To address this, Dodge kept the V6 model in production for 2026, increasing total volume and lowering the base price. The move was seen as a flip-flop, but Dodge CEO Matt McAlear argued that reviving the V6 didn't require breaking any promises.
