Diageo Announces Closure of Amherstburg Bottling Facility and Shift to Canadian Production for Crown Royal Whisky

Diageo has announced it will cease operations at its bottling facility in Amherstburg, Ontario by February 2026, affecting Crown Royal production. The decision aims to increase efficiency and resiliency in its North American manufacturing footprint. Crown Royal will continue to be mashed, distilled, and aged in Canada. Diageo will maintain its Canadian facilities and invest in local communities, supporting over 9,700 Canadian jobs and CAD$300 million in annual revenue for restaurants and bars.
