Designer Brands Lays Off Employees, Prioritizes Customer Focus

Designer Brands, owner of Designer Shoe Warehouse, confirmed layoffs last week, but did not disclose the number of employees or departments impacted. The company stated that the layoffs were part of efforts to simplify its organizational structure and improve cost management. Net sales decreased 3.2% YoY to $752.4 million in Q3, while net income increased 46% YoY to $19.3 million.
