DeFi Gets a Brain: AI Agent Turbocharges Ethereum Transactions in Seconds
Griffin AI, a platform focused on integrating artificial intelligence with blockchain technology, has launched TEA TurboTURBO--, a transaction execution agent designed to streamline DeFi operations on EthereumETH--. TEA Turbo transforms natural language prompts into executable on-chain transactions by leveraging liquidity from UniswapUNI-- and 1inch1INCH--, and it integrates native lending from AaveAAVE--. The agent simplifies complex processes such as liquidity checks, route comparisons, and risk assessments, allowing users to execute transactions using plain language instructions.
The platform addresses a key challenge in the DeFi space: the complexity and friction of multi-step processes. TEA Turbo automates these tasks by validating user balances, identifying optimal liquidity sources, performing necessary calculations, and presenting a transparent transaction plan. Once approved by the user in their wallet, the transaction is executed. This reduces the risk of errors and enhances transparency for end users.
According to the founder of Griffin AI, Oliver Feldmeier, TEA Turbo represents the execution layer for agentic finance. As it integrates with other types of agents—such as research and risk agents—it enables the coordination of complex transactions under human supervision. At launch, TEA Turbo supports swapping tokens across Uniswap and 1inch, comparing prices, depositing or withdrawing from Aave pools, sending tokens with safety checks, and tracking balances in chat. The agent is accessible via Ethereum mainnet and supports popular wallets like MetaMask, WalletConnect, and Ledger.
Performance improvements are notable in this latest iteration of the agent. Compared to Griffin AI’s earlier TEA Test release, TEA Turbo offers an 89% speed increase, reducing the processing time from 43.7 seconds to just 4.98 seconds. This is attributed to the inclusion of a deterministic reasoning tree that encodes common DeFi flows into fast and predictable steps, as well as the onboarding of 1inch and Uniswap for improved routing and direct Aave deposits.
Sergej Kunz, co-founder of 1inch, praised the integration, stating that it showcases the ease of use of the 1inch API. He noted that the agent simplifies DeFi interactions by finding optimal routes through 1inch before a user signs a transaction—emphasizing the goal of making DeFi more accessible and user-friendly.
TEA Turbo is part of Griffin AI’s broader ecosystem of AI agents, which also includes research agents and a no-code Agent Builder that supports over 15,000 community-built agents. Future updates to the platform will focus on expanding to additional blockchain networks, integrating more protocols, and introducing advanced transaction types. The company also aims to enhance interoperability between execution, research, and risk agents.
