CZ's Portfolio Reveals BNB Dominance, BROCCOLI Meme Coin Surges

Binance co-founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao's recent revelation of his personal portfolio has sparked a surge in the price of BROCCOLI, a meme coin built on BNB. The coin surged nearly 33% following CZ's disclosure that his portfolio is over 98% invested in BNB, with only minor holdings in other cryptocurrencies such as BTC, EURI, and USDT.

Despite the significant impact of CZ's public statements on the price of BNB in the past, the token's price has not reacted positively to this news. Instead, it has declined since the revelation. This is likely due to the already widely known fact that CZ holds a substantial amount of BNB, with Forbes reporting in June 2022 that he owns 64% of the entire supply, valued at $56 billion at the time.

While BNB's price has not been affected, one BNB-based project has benefited from the social media buzz surrounding CZ's portfolio disclosure. BROCCOLI, a meme coin named after CZ's dog, rallied nearly 33% on the news. This is not the first time CZ's interactions with meme coins have caused a stir in the market. Previously, he claimed that he "will likely interact with a few of the more popular [Broccoli-based] meme coins on BNB Chain," and this project appears to be one of the beneficiaries.
