CDE--

Coeur Mining, Inc. (NYSE: CDE) surged 3.26% on October 6, 2025, hitting a peak since October 2025 with an intraday gain of 5.13%. The rally reflects a confluence of analyst upgrades, robust earnings, and institutional buying, signaling renewed confidence in the gold and silver producer’s growth trajectory.

Analysts have revised price targets to reflect optimism, with Roth Capital raising its target to $20.00 and BMO Capital Markets to $12.00. Nine analysts now hold “Buy” or “Strong Buy” ratings, underscoring expectations of sustained profitability amid elevated precious metals prices. This institutional backing aligns with Coeur’s Q2 2025 earnings, which exceeded forecasts, reporting $0.20 per share and $480.65 million in revenue—a 116.5% year-over-year jump.

Institutional investors have also bolstered their stakes, with Allspring Global Investments and Farther Finance Advisors significantly increasing holdings. Institutional ownership now accounts for 63.01% of shares, highlighting long-term confidence in the company’s strategic direction. Exploration successes at Las Chispas and Kensington mines, coupled with the $1.7 billion acquisition of SilverCrest Metals, further reinforce Coeur’s ability to capitalize on rising demand for silver and gold.

The stock’s technical outlook remains positive, trading above both 50-day and 200-day moving averages. While insider sales by executives have occurred, they coincide with a period of strong performance and do not appear to signal bearish sentiment. Coeur’s market position in the precious metals sector, supported by a diversified asset base and cost-efficient operations, positions it to benefit from ongoing macroeconomic trends, including inflation and geopolitical volatility.
