China Yuchai Launches New High-Power mtu Series 2000 Engines Through Joint Venture with Rolls-Royce

China Yuchai International Limited has successfully launched and delivered the new mtu Series 2000 high-power engines through its joint venture with Rolls-Royce's Power Systems division. The engines are produced at two facilities in Suzhou and Yulin, expanding the company's product line and solidifying its position in the high-end power generation market. China Yuchai International Limited (CYD) has achieved a significant milestone with the successful launch and delivery of the new mtu Series 2000 high-power engines through its joint venture with Rolls-Royce's Power Systems division. The engines are produced at two facilities in Suzhou and Yulin, expanding the company's product line and solidifying its position in the high-end power generation market. The dual-site manufacturing strategy enhances China Yuchai's ability to serve diverse applications across global markets.

The mtu Series 2000 engine, a product of the 50/50 joint venture between Yuchai's Marine and Genset Power subsidiary and Rolls-Royce's Power Systems division, is designed to serve both as a primary and backup solution for power generation applications. The engine features high-power performance, excellent fuel efficiency, and outstanding stability, making it a robust addition to MYP's product portfolio. The launch of the mtu Series 2000 engine is part of MYP's Phase II development, which commenced last year. This phase includes the production of the new engines at the Suzhou plant, while the Yulin plant continues to expand the production and sales of the mtu Series 4000 S83 oil and gas engines. Both engines rolled off the production line this year, enriching MYP's product offerings and expanding its application areas.
