According to Deutsche Bank's April EV sales preview [2], XPeng's new order flow for April is estimated to grow 80 percent sequentially to about 36,000 units, with deliveries including the Mona M03 sedan, G6 SUV, P7+ sedan, G9 SUV, and X9 MPV. Li Auto is expected to deliver about 34,500 units in April, up 34 percent year-on-year but down 6 percent sequentially. Xiaomi EV deliveries in April are forecasted to be around 28,500 units, down about 2 percent from March.
The government's EV subsidy program and promotional campaigns have been instrumental in driving sales. However, regulatory restrictions are anticipated to intensify competition in May. Automakers are preparing for these changes by launching new models and enhancing their product offerings.
