China's Commercial Aircraft Corp of China Ltd (Comac) is struggling to deliver its C919 jet, with less than 200 planes delivered since its establishment in 2008, despite billions of dollars and years of effort to reduce reliance on Boeing and Airbus. Comac risks falling short of its delivery target of 75 jets this year due to Boeing and Airbus narrowbody orders. The C919 is heavily reliant on Western-made parts, including from the US, and has been impacted by Washington's tariff dispute with Beijing.
