Chevron expands its liquefied natural gas (LNG) ambitions to improve energy security as global supply shocks strengthen the case for a more diversified LNG portfolio. The company expects 20 million metric tons per year of LNG supply capacity in 2026, including 16 million tons from its own projects and 4 million tons from US Gulf Coast contracts. Chevron's valuation suggests the market is already pricing in strong energy prices, cash generation, and future LNG growth, but execution and capital discipline are crucial for the company to earn strong returns.
