Centrica and Energy Capital Partners to Acquire National Grid Assets for £1.5 Billion

Centrica and Energy Capital Partners have agreed to acquire National Grid's Grain LNG and Thamesport Interchange assets for £1.5bn. Centrica will fund its 50% equity stake of £200m from existing cash resources and has secured £1.1bn in committed financing. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in Q4.
