Recently, Caterpillar launched the year-long centennial celebration at CES2025, emphasizing its pioneering role in innovation and technology. At the heart of the showcase were investments in autonomous, alternative fuels, connectivity and digitalization, as well as electrification (AACE). These advancements are designed to aid customers in navigating the energy transition and crafting tomorrow's job sites.

Rob Hoenes, Senior Vice President for Electrification and Energy Solutions, noted that the technologies presented epitomize ongoing innovation, aiming for safer, smarter, and more sustainable industry practices. Visitors at CES were given an interactive experience highlighting Caterpillar's durable solutions, supported by data and advanced technology.

A key attraction was the Cat 972 Wheel Loader, a 25-ton piece of machinery equipped with hybrid electric range extender technology. Demonstrated by a compact engineering team in just 12 weeks, the equipment retains the performance of its diesel counterpart without requiring direct current charging or additional infrastructure—offering a sustainable solution for operational sites.

In line with its dedication to a customer-focused approach, Caterpillar introduced the latest generation of telehandlers aimed at retail and rental markets. Newly unveiled models include the TH0642, TH0842, TH1055, and TH1255, which will succeed previous offerings. These machines feature engines meeting stringent emission standards and offer a maintenance-free diesel particulate filter.

The enhancements underscore Caterpillar's dedication to engineering accessible, user-friendly equipment with a robust array of features that facilitate maintenance and reliability. The upcoming iteration of telehandlers is set to be available in the second quarter and will be on display at industry expos such as the World of Concrete in Las Vegas.
