A car has crashed into a crowd of people waiting to enter a nightclub in East Hollywood, injuring at least 30 people. Three are in critical condition, while eight to 10 are in serious condition and 10-15 are in fair condition. A gunshot victim was also found. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.

At least 30 people were injured when a vehicle plowed into a crowd outside the Vermont Hollywood nightclub in East Hollywood, Los Angeles, early Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on July 19, 2025, and has left three people in critical condition, eight to 10 in serious condition, and 10 to 15 in fair condition [1, 2, 3, 4].

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to the scene with over 120 personnel. Captain Adam VanGerpen, a public information officer for the LAFD, stated that the driver of the vehicle appeared to lose consciousness before hitting a taco cart and then running into the crowd [3]. Authorities are investigating whether medical, mechanical, or external factors contributed to the crash.

Among the injured, one victim had a gunshot wound, according to the LAFD. The nightclub was hosting a concert billed as "So-Cal’s Biggest Reggaeton & Hip-Hop Party" [1]. The crash happened near the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Vermont Avenue.
