BP--

BP has abandoned plans to build a large hydrogen and carbon capture project at Teesside in northeast England, citing weaker demand for low-carbon hydrogen and the closure of a nearby site owned by Sabic. The company will instead construct a large artificial intelligence data center at the site, with the UK government backing the project. BP will remain an active partner in the region, focusing on other energy initiatives, including a new gas-fired power station equipped with carbon capture technology.
