The Bombay High Court has ruled in favor of AB InBev in a trademark case against Jagpin Breweries. The court issued a permanent injunction preventing Jagpin from using the name "COX 5001" for its beer, citing trademark infringement and "passing off". The court found that the numeral "5001" is conceptually and visually similar to AB InBev's trademark "Haywards 5000" and could lead to consumer confusion. AB InBev had filed the case in 2012.
