Blackstone Partners with Empower to Offer Private Investments in 401(k)s

Blackstone Inc. is partnering with retirement plan administrator Empower to offer private investments through Empower's private market investment partnership program. This will give Empower customers access to Blackstone's $1.2 trillion in assets across private equity, credit, real estate, and infrastructure funds. Empower aims to bring private market investing to millions of Americans who previously lacked access, and the partnership is part of Blackstone's strategy to tap into the $12 trillion in Americans' 401(k)s and other defined-contribution retirement plans.
