BlackRock Income Trust Announces Over-subscribed Rights Offering, Raises $87.1M

BlackRock Income Trust, Inc. (BKT) has completed a transferable rights offering, exceeding its goal of issuing 8.1 million shares. The over-subscribed offering resulted in proceeds of approximately $87.1 million, which the fund plans to invest in accordance with its objective and policies. The newly issued shares will be entitled to receive the monthly distribution in November.
