Bitget Feeds 100K Iftar Meals to Refugees with UNHCR
Bitget, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has announced a significant humanitarian initiative in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The company will donate 100,000 meals for IftarIFRA--, the evening meal that breaks the fast during Ramadan, to vulnerable communities facing severe crises.
The donation is part of Bitget's broader commitment to support humanitarian organizations during Ramadan. The company will initially donate 10,000 Iftar meals and host a series of Iftar Dinners in locations such as Dubai and Istanbul. At these events, BitgetBIT-- will match the generosity of dinner guests on a 1:1 basis, doubling the impact of their donations. Additionally, through an exclusive partnership with La Liga, Bitget will hold a charity auction at the dinners, with all proceeds going towards the donation of Iftar meals until the target of 100,000 meals is reached.
Vugar Usi Zade, Chief Operating Officer of Bitget, expressed the company's commitment to this initiative: "During Ramadan, through our global network, we hope to bring practical impact to communities in need, showcase the cryptocurrency industry's sense of responsibility and commitment, and help more people get through tough times."
This collaboration between Bitget and the UNHCR highlights the growing role of the cryptocurrency industry in supporting global humanitarian efforts. By leveraging its resources and network, Bitget is demonstrating a commitment to making a positive impact on communities around the world.
