Changpeng Zhao, the former CEO of Binance, has unveiled his vision for X Agent, an AI-driven tool designed to enhance social media engagement. This tool is intended to mimic a user’s persona on X (formerly Twitter) and generate personalized content and interactions based on their style and preferences.

Zhao outlined the project in two phases on Binance Square. The first phase, "Tweet like You," involves the bot examining a user's previous tweets, analyzing their tweeting style, current events, and trending topics to suggest tweets tailored to the user. The bot uses the X API and advanced AI algorithms to analyze the style, tone, and overall feel of the tweets, ensuring that the generated content matches the user’s typical way of tweeting. With continued use, the bot refines its recommendations to maintain a consistent, authentic tone.

The second phase of the project expands the AI’s capabilities to include tweet summarization, response generation (supportive, neutral, or against), and flagging of risky content. The bot will also analyze trending moods, offer timely responses, identify popular tweets for retweets, and craft engaging comments to boost visibility. Zhao mentioned that future improvements may extend the bot’s functionality to other messaging platforms, such as Telegram, WhatsApp, and Signal, where it could assist users in handling unwanted interactions by automating replies.

To monetize the bot, Zhao proposed a freemium model. The free tier offers five trial tweets, allowing users to test the bot’s capabilities. A Pro package, priced at 0.015 BNB (approximately $0.10) per tweet, would be available for those seeking more extensive use. Bulk purchase options would also be available for deeper training and enhanced performance.

Zhao expressed his dissatisfaction with existing projects attempting similar concepts, stating that none have truly impressed him. He added that at YZiLabs, they are eager to fund a project capable of generating high-quality tweets. Shortly after his post, Holoworld AI, a decentralized AI character marketplace, revealed that “CZ AI Agent” had already been built. The bot emulates Zhao’s own tweeting style and replied, “The old CZ AI agent is already here, powered by Holoworld AI.”

Holoworld AI also announced plans to enhance its existing technology by introducing a system that continuously generates tweet ideas and delivers them directly to users via direct messages. This feature would enable users to remain on the platform without interruption and allow for easy, one-click generation of tweet ideas, creating a more streamlined and interactive user experience. They added, “Co-creating with AI should feel fun and this is exactly where AI excels right now.”

Interestingly, Zhao’s proposal came after he advocated for banning bots on X. He posted on March 9, “I think X should ban all bots. I only want to interact with humans here (not “Automated”).” Zhao emphasized that automated API posting should be disabled but believes that leveraging AI tools to generate content is acceptable as long as the user manually posts it. He also criticized AI agent developers for prioritizing tokens over building useful agents, stating that a token is unnecessary in 99.95% of the cases and advised launching a token only when a solid product-market fit exists.
