Binance Denies Sale Rumors, Vows Expansion Through Partnerships

Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has dismissed recent speculation about its potential sale. The company's co-founders, Changpeng Zhao (CZ) and He Yi, have both publicly denied the rumors and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding the business through strategic partnerships and acquisitions.

CZ took to Twitter on February 17 to address the rumors, stating that "Some lowly self-perceived competitor in Asia is fudding about Binance (CEX) for sale." He emphasized that Binance is an unsellable asset, as it is a shareholder entity.

He Yi, also a co-founder of Binance, echoed CZ's sentiments, telling the media that the rumors were baseless and emerged due to competitors attempting to mislead the public. She explained that Binance has a policy of not selling the company and is instead focused on forming partnerships with institutional entities for both investment and cooperative opportunities.

In a separate statement, He Yi accused competitors of using false information as a crisis PR strategy, purchasing mass-media articles to generate rumors and redirect attention. She shared that Binance receives frequent proposals for partnership deals, as the cryptocurrency market's growth and Bitcoin's price highs make trading platforms more attractive to investors and cooperation partners.

He Yi confirmed that Binance is actively seeking business partnerships for acquisitions and invited any exchange considering selling its operations to initiate direct contact with Binance. Despite ongoing regulatory oversight, Binance continues to strengthen its position within the cryptocurrency market, maintaining its status as the world's largest trading platform by volume.

Both CZ and He Yi have repeatedly stated that Binance has no intention of being acquired or sold. Instead, the company is dedicated to expanding its business through strategic alliances and acquisitions, aiming to maintain its leading position in the cryptocurrency sector.
