Binance Boosts Crypto Oversight: Monthly Tag Updates, New High-Risk Tokens Added
Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced changes to its monitoring tag update frequency and added several new tokens to its monitoring list. Starting March 4, 2025, Binance will update its monitoring tags once a month, with new projects being added in the first week of each month. The removal of monitoring and seed tags will continue to be reviewed quarterly.
Among the newly added tokens are AERGO, ALPACA, AST, BADGER, BURGER, COMBO, NULSNULG--, STPT, UFT, and VIDT. These tokens have been identified as exhibiting higher volatility and risk compared to other listed tokens. Binance will closely monitor these tokens and conduct regular reviews to ensure they meet the platform's listing criteria.
Tokens with monitoring tags are subject to increased scrutiny due to their higher risk profile. Binance reminds users that these tokens may no longer meet listing criteria and could potentially be delisted from the platform. Users are advised to exercise caution when trading these tokens and to conduct their own thorough research before making any investment decisions.
