Basler SPVY board: Horst W. Garbrecht resigns
Horst W. Garbrecht has resigned from his position as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Basler AG, effective immediately. Garbrecht, who joined the supervisory board in 2015, had a distinguished career in the power tool and engineering sectors, including leadership roles at Metabo, Atlas Copco, and TTI. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and President Industrial of CeramTech GmbH since January 2022.
Garbrecht’s tenure on the Basler AG supervisory board coincided with a period of strategic growth and operational expansion for the company. His experience in international operations and technical management was instrumental in guiding the board’s oversight of the firm’s industrial automation and imaging solutions business.
The resignation comes as part of a broader leadership transition within the board. Norbert Basler remains Chairman of the Supervisory Board, while the company will likely announce a successor for the Deputy Chairman role in due course. The board has emphasized its commitment to maintaining strong governance and continuity during this transition.
Basler AG’s supervisory board continues to include a diverse group of industry experts, including Mirja Steinkamp, Lennart Schulenburg, Tanja Schley, and Holger Singpiel, who bring a range of expertise in finance, technology, and operations.
