A talc-mining subsidiary of Minerals Technologies is set to argue its case for remaining in Chapter 11 bankruptcy against personal injury claimants who argue it has no right to bankruptcy protection. The subsidiary has proposed a plan to resolve asbestos-related claims against itself and its parent company. The U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Houston is scheduled to hear arguments from the claimants who have asked for the bankruptcy to be dismissed.
