Autodesk Q1 Billings Revenue Surges 29%

Autodesk, a leading software manufacturer, has reported better-than-expected financial results for the first quarter of its 2026 fiscal year, with billings revenue surging by 29%. The company's adjusted earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter were 2.29 dollars, and revenue grew by 15% year-over-year to 1.63 billion dollars, both exceeding analyst expectations.

The significant increase in billings revenue, which reached 1.43 billion dollars, was driven by strong performance across its design and manufacturing divisions. The design unit saw a 14% increase in sales to 1.36 billion dollars, while the manufacturing unit reported a 23% increase to 179 million dollars. The company's flagship product series, "Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations," led the growth with a 20% increase in sales to 809 million dollars.

Despite facing "greater macroeconomic uncertainty," Autodesk has raised its full-year guidance. The company now expects EPS to be between 9.50 and 9.73 dollars, and revenue to be between 6.925 billion and 6.995 billion dollars. Previously, the company had forecasted EPS to be between 9.34 and 9.67 dollars, and revenue to be between 6.895 billion and 6.965 billion dollars.

Autodesk's CEO, Andrew Anagnost, commended the company's performance in the face of "uncertain geopolitical, macroeconomic, and policy environments." The company's CFO, Janesh Moorjani, noted that while there has been no change in overall business momentum compared to recent quarters, Autodesk is taking a cautious approach in its growth assumptions to reflect the increased macroeconomic uncertainty.
