Arm Unveils First In-House Chip, Arm AGI CPU, with Meta, OpenAI, and Cloudflare as Early Customers

Arm Holdings, a leading chip design company, has debuted its first in-house chip, the Arm AGI CPU, designed for artificial general intelligence (AGI). The chip boasts up to 64 CPUs and 8,700 cores, offering twice the performance-per-watt as x86 racks. Arm has partnered with Meta, OpenAI, Cloudflare, and SAP as its first customers, aiming to expand its market presence in the AI chip industry.
