Arm's First Production Data Center Processor: A Breakthrough for AI Chip Market

Arm Holdings' shares rose 15% after unveiling its first production data center processor, the Arm AGI CPU, which aims to compete with dominant GPUs in AI applications. The company claims its CPU delivers twice the performance per rack compared to X86-based chips from Intel and AMD. Arm is co-developing the chip with Meta and working with several other companies to deploy it in data centers for agentic AI applications.
