【iPhone】 1. Apple introduced second-generation 3-nanometer chips for iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models, enhancing performance. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus feature the A18 chip, while the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have the A18 Pro chip. The A18 has a 5-core GPU, and the A18 Pro has a 6-core GPU, among other differences. Both chips offer improved efficiency and faster performance compared to previous models. 2. Apple raised the wireless charging speed with the iPhone 16 models, allowing up to 25W charging with the new MagSafe charger and a 30W power adapter. This is 10W faster than Qi2 charging, which is limited to 15W. 3. The iPhone 16 lineup features several camera improvements, including a new Camera Control button, enhanced Ultra Wide lenses, and new photographic styles. The iPhone 16 Pro models have a 48-megapixel Ultra Wide lens and support 5x zoom. All models have better video recording capabilities and advanced audio features. 4. Apple increased the battery life of the iPhone 16 models, providing at least an hour more video playback compared to the iPhone 15 models. The iPhone 16 Pro Max offers the longest battery life with 33 hours of video playback. The iPhone 16 models also support faster 25W MagSafe charging. 5. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have larger displays compared to their predecessors, with thinner bezels and slightly increased dimensions. The display technology remains similar with Super Retina XDR and ProMotion, but a new 1 nit minimum brightness level has been added. 6. The iPhone 16 series features an upgraded Ceramic Shield, claimed to be 50% tougher than the first-generation, providing better drop protection. This new formulation is exclusive to Apple and not available in other smartphones. 7. Selected media and content creators have gone hands-on with the iPhone 16 series, showcasing the new Camera Control button and other features. 【iPad】 1. Apple released a firmware update for the Apple Pencil Pro, which includes new features such as squeeze gestures, barrel roll, haptic feedback, and Find My integration. The update improves the overall functionality of the Apple Pencil Pro, which is compatible with the M2 iPad Air and M4 iPad Pro models. 【Mac】 1. Apple released a new firmware update for AirPods Pro 2, including both Lightning and USB-C versions, ahead of the iOS 18 launch. The update introduces head gestures for Siri control, Voice Isolation, and Personalized Spatial Audio for gaming. 【Apple Watch】 1. Apple added sleep apnea detection to Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and Apple Watch Series 9. The feature uses the built-in accelerometer to detect breathing disturbances and provides alerts for moderate to severe sleep apnea. 2. Apple announced a new black colorway for the Apple Watch Ultra 2, available from September 20. Best Buy is offering a $50 discount on these models for members. 3. Despite rumors, the Apple Watch Series 10 did not receive a new heart and ECG sensor. It retains the third-generation optical heart sensor from the Series 9. The new design is thinner and lighter, with additional features like a water temperature sensor and improved sleep apnea detection. 4. The Apple Watch Series 10 includes a voice isolation feature for clearer phone calls. The feature uses the Neural Engine to suppress background noise, making conversations clearer even in noisy environments. 【Others】 1. Apple discontinued the AirPods 2 and AirPods 3 with the launch of AirPods 4, simplifying the lineup. AirPods 4 come in two variants: one with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and one without. The ANC version is priced at $179, while the standard version is $129. Both models use USB-C and have improved features. 2. Apple updated AirPods Max with a USB-C port and new color options. Ear cushion sets in new colors are available for purchase separately, allowing for customizable color combinations. 3. The new AirPods Max update, limited to a USB-C port and new colors, left some fans disappointed due to the lack of major changes. The headphones did not receive the H2 chip or improvements to noise cancellation.
