Donald Trump, during his presidential campaign, emerged as a prominent supporter of cryptocurrencies. His administration played a pivotal role in advancing the industry, signing legislation to legalize specific cryptocurrencies, establishing a national virtual asset reserve, appointing regulatory officials more favorable to the industry, and halting investigations into several major digital assetDAAQ-- companies.
