Alphabet's Taara Takes On Starlink, T-Mobile in Broadband Battle

Alphabet's Taara, a Google-backed startup, is targeting federal funding for its wireless internet technology, Lightbridge, which can beam high-speed internet over the air. The company is "BEAD-ready" for the $42.5 billion Broadband Equity Access and Deployment program. Taara's technology aims to bridge global connectivity gaps and compete with Elon Musk's Starlink and T-Mobile's 5G Home Internet.
