Agilis Air Inc., a US-based drone developer and manufacturer, has secured $1.4 million in funding and been accepted into the US Army's UAS Marketplace. The company's Remora drone, priced at $1,250 per unit, is now available for direct purchase by military units and US government entities. The funding includes investments from AgEagle Aerial SystemsUAVS--, North Coast Ventures, Vici Capital, and angel investors. The Pentagon has prioritized small drones, with the Department of War directing $1.1 billion toward fielding hundreds of thousands of American-made drones.
