Affinor Growers Inc. (AFI, RSSFF) has signed a wholesale distribution agreement with Berrymobile Fruit Distribution Inc. (Berrymobile), a strategic move that is set to sweeten the company's revenue projections and solidify its position in the vertical farming industry. The agreement, signed on February 5, 2025, will see Berrymobile acting as a non-exclusive distributor of Affinor's strawberries for a term of one year.

With the new designed T6 hydroponic rotating towers, Affinor is estimated to produce just over 400,000 pounds of strawberries a year in its 15,000 ft.² greenhouse in Abbotsford, BC. Nick Brusatore, CEO of Affinor Growers, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "I'm excited to work with Berrymobile through this season to produce very high-quality strawberries using our new designed T6 hydroponic rotating towers estimated to produce just over 400,000 pounds a year in our 15,000 ft.² greenhouse in Abbotsford BC. At Affinor Growers Inc we believe if you have to pack the strawberries in plastic you're shipping them too far."

The exclusive licensing agreement with Freshbay Inc., announced earlier this year, further strengthens Affinor Growers' intellectual property portfolio and its potential for future licensing revenue. Under the agreement, Affinor granted Freshbay the exclusive right and license to use and exploit a certain patent, know-how associated therewith, and certain industrial designs held by Affinor. In exchange, Freshbay agreed to pay Affinor $33.5-million, with $21-million paid upon receiving financing from an institutional investor and the remaining $12.5-million paid on the earlier of six months from the first shipment of strawberries produced using the licensed intellectual property or June 16, 2025.
