Aberdeen Asset Management Announces Special Meeting for India Fund.

Aberdeen Asset Management Inc.'s The India Fund Inc. has announced a special meeting of stockholders to vote on the elimination of its interval fund structure, a fundamental policy of the fund. The elimination of the interval fund structure is subject to stockholder approval and the fund has also announced a conditional tender offer and targeted discount policy. The meeting will take place on February 3, 2014.
