The 6th China-Central Asia Foreign Ministers' Meeting was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from April 25 to 30, 2025. He also underscored the importance of jointly upholding international fairness and justice and practicing true multilateralism [2].
The meeting also addressed the need for China and Central Asian countries to work together to ensure the success of the upcoming China-Central Asia Foreign Ministers' Meeting and the second China-Central Asia Summit. Both sides agreed to deepen economic and trade cooperation, expand energy cooperation, and enhance connectivity cooperation to achieve common prosperity and greater well-being for both peoples [1].
Wang Yi and Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, conducted in-depth exchanges of views on bilateral and multilateral cooperation. They reached a broad consensus on the importance of deepening the integration of interests and accelerating joint development. The two sides will continue to expand economic and trade cooperation and strive to achieve the bilateral trade volume target set by the two heads of state. They will also broaden energy cooperation, enhance collaboration across the entire industrial chain, and strengthen connectivity cooperation [1].
The meeting concluded with the signing of documents, including a memorandum of understanding between the two foreign ministries. The document outlines the commitment of both sides to continue working together to build a China-Central Asia community with a shared future and to promote regional stability and prosperity.
