UCloudLink Q2 adjusted net income USD -2.3 million

UCloudLink Group Inc. reported an adjusted net income of USD 500,000 for the second quarter of 2025, according to its unaudited financial results announced on August 13, 2025. This represents a significant decline from the adjusted net income of USD 2.6 million in the same period of 2024. The company’s total revenue for the quarter was USD 19.4 million, a 13.3% decrease compared to USD 22.4 million in Q2 2024.

The decline in adjusted net income was accompanied by a reduction in income from operations, which fell to USD 800,000 from USD 2.3 million in the prior-year period. Gross profit also decreased to USD 10.2 million, compared to USD 11.0 million in Q2 2024, while the gross margin improved to 52.8% from 49.2%.

Despite the drop in profitability, UCloudLink highlighted growth in key operational metrics, including a 7.9% increase in total data consumed through its platform and a 3.8% rise in average daily active terminals. The company also provided a revenue outlook for Q3 2025, projecting USD 22–26 million, with a projected growth rate of 3.2% compared to the same period in 2024.

UCloudLink attributed the decline in profitability to macroeconomic challenges and trade headwinds, while emphasizing ongoing investments in product innovation and go-to-market capabilities. The company remains focused on expanding its GlocalMe ecosystem and preparing for the commercial launch of new products, including the PetPhone and MeowGo G50 Max.
