Tripledot Studios: Supersonic will continue to operate as standalone business within Tripledot Group under its brand
Tripledot Studios has completed the acquisition of Supersonic, a mobile game publisher, from Unity for $40 million in cash, with adjustments to be made post-closing. The Supersonic business will continue to operate as a standalone unit within the Tripledot Group, maintaining its existing management team and headquarters in Tel Aviv. This acquisition marks Tripledot’s second major publishing expansion in under a year, following its $800 million acquisition of AppLovin’s mobile games portfolio in 2025.
The Supersonic acquisition aligns with Tripledot’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the hybrid-casual gaming segment, where it partners with independent studios globally to distribute games to a broad audience. CEO Matt Bromberg of Unity stated that Tripledot was “the right home” for Supersonic, emphasizing the publisher’s continued independence within the larger Tripledot structure.
Tripledot, which has grown rapidly since its founding in 2017 and now employs over 500 people globally, has positioned itself as a leader in data-driven game development. The company’s recent expansion underscores its ambition to consolidate its position in the competitive mobile gaming industry.
