STMicroelectronics Launches VD56GA Automotive Image Sensor

STMicroelectronics has introduced its new automotive image sensor, ST SafeSense VD56GA, to help scale affordable in-cabin sensing for driver and occupant monitoring. The sensor delivers 35% higher image sharpness and nearly 60% higher infrared sensitivity than its predecessor in a compact 1.1 MP format, making it suitable for high-volume vehicle platforms. The sensor is designed to simplify camera design and integration, reducing system cost while maintaining strong in-cabin performance.
