Stephens launches coverage of Eagle Rock Land, assigns overweight rating and $28 target
Stephens has initiated coverage on EagleRock Land (NYSE: EROK) with an Overweight rating and $28.00 price target. The firm highlighted the company’s strategic position in the Permian Basin, where it controls approximately 236,000 acres across the Delaware and Midland sub-basins. EagleRock generates revenue through surface use agreements, resource sales, and water infrastructure royalties, with cash flows driven by land usage rather than direct commodity exposure.
Barclays also initiated coverage with an Overweight rating and a $25.00 price target, citing the company’s stable, contracted revenues and strong free cash flow conversion. Meanwhile, Texas Capital Securities assigned a Buy rating with a $29.00 price target, emphasizing EagleRock’s exposure to near-term Permian growth and long-term opportunities in AI and alternative energy. Goldman Sachs, however, took a more cautious stance, assigning a Neutral rating with a $24.00 price target.
EagleRock recently completed its initial public offering, pricing shares at $18.50 and raising $320.1 million. The company also established a $200 million revolving credit facility, administered by JPMorgan Chase Bank. While the firm reported a net loss of $73 million over the last twelve months, revenue surged by 308% during the same period. Analysts have generally viewed the stock favorably, with a consensus Buy rating and a 12-month price target of $25.83.
