LimX Dynamics, a Shenzhen-based robotics company, has confidentially filed for an initial public offering (IPO) in Hong Kong, aiming to raise up to $300 million, according to sources familiar with the matter. The company is working with Citic Securities Co. to facilitate the offering. Discussions regarding the size and timing of the offering are ongoing, and the firm has not yet disclosed a specific timeline for the listing.

Founded in 2022, LimX Dynamics specializes in the development of humanoid robots for applications in homes, manufacturing, research, and commercial environments. The company has attracted significant investment, including a $200 million pre-IPO funding round in July that valued the firm at 15 billion yuan ($2.2 billion). Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., JD.com Inc., and IDG Capital are among its key backers.

The IPO comes amid a growing trend of robotics and AI-related companies seeking public listings in Hong Kong. This year alone, Hong Kong listings have raised over $42 billion, driven largely by technology and artificial intelligence firms.
