HCLTech completes acquisition of HPE's telco solutions business
HCLTech, a global technology services provider, has completed the acquisition of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s (HPE) Telco Solutions business, marking expansion in telecom sector capabilities. The transaction, which follows an earlier acquisition of HPE’s Communications Technology Group (CTG) in 2024, enhances HCLTech’s portfolio with advanced intellectual property, engineering talent, and client relationships with major Communication Service Providers (CSPs). The Telco Solutions business supports over 1 billion devices globally and offers capabilities in Operations Support Systems (OSS), Home Subscriber Server (HSS), and 5G Subscriber Data Management (SDM), leveraging AI-driven automation to optimize network performance and monetization.
As part of the deal, approximately 1,500 engineering and telecom professionals from 39 countries will join HCLTech’s global delivery team, bolstering its capacity to deliver Network as a Service (NaaS) and AI-led autonomous networking solutions. HCLTech, which reported consolidated revenues of $14.2 billion for the 12 months ending September 2025, aims to leverage the acquisition to accelerate transition toward higher-value services. The integration of the Telco Solutions business is expected to strengthen HCLTech’s position in the telecom industry and support the ongoing transformation of CSPs into technology-driven enterprises.
