Collins Foods Ltd - Taco Bell - completion of transaction

Collins Foods Limited (ASX: CKF) has confirmed progress in its transition of 20 Taco Bell restaurants to a new partnership arrangement between an affiliated company of Taco Bell (part of YUM! Brands, Inc.) and Restaurant Brands Australia Holdings Pty Limited. The company announced on 31 March 2026 that conditions precedent had been satisfied.

The transaction remains subject to customary conditions, including landlord consents, store-based employment thresholds, and approval from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). Completion is expected between June and August 2026, depending on regulatory timelines.

Collins Foods has emphasized that it will continue to provide updates to the market regarding material developments in the process. The company has not disclosed financial terms of the transaction but has indicated that the transfer is part of its broader strategic review of its restaurant portfolio.

This development follows Collins Foods’ recent acquisition of eight KFC restaurants in Germany, which it said strengthens its European market position.
